there's a couple guys i'm interested in.

blair white- potential to be a really solid receiver. cut from the colts and that's one table i'd gladly take the crumbs from. he did really well in preseason but they just had too many good receivers to choose from already.

derek hagan- cut from the giants. this was a surprise. he's not a stellar receiver by any means but as a ST gunner he is good. he played all 16 games for the giants last year.

i'm hearing good things about this guy, I think he'd be a steal if we could nab him...someone put up a draft report on him at cat scratch reader about him being a draft gem but the Colts have too many recievers...come on hurney stick it to bill polian man!

Smoke and mirrors. We will pick up some guys. Its prob not going to be T.J but there is some value out there. I think we might pick up Hartwig again also. We def need a back up C.

Smoke and mirrors? I always wonder why people think that our FO is some 2-faced, secretive group of spies. They don't say a lot, which is how the whole 'Fox-speak' thing came about, but when they do talk, it's often the truth.

"Do you really think that Housh is going to get the invite to come over and play after we cut so many players that were 30+? Teams adhere strictly to their philosophy, and Fox definitely sticks to his guns."

Trust me on this- it's not John Fox. If it were left up to him he'd still have the 2003 roster on the field regardless how many almost-40 year-old guys were out there.

It literally shocks me when I look at this thread and see things such as "We are staying the same" or (and this is paraphrased yet how I read it) "Any of our Wide Receivers besides Steve Smith can be considered legitimate."

Everyone must be simply deluding themselves. Dwayne Jarret had all of the promise in the world when he was drafted. That was years ago. He has shown a habit of not being prepared. This is our "seasoned vet" behind Smitty. Sure, maybe he will be a decent Wide Receiver some day. However, as of this season, I cannot trust his maturity or skill.

We (and yes, as a fan I am including myself among organization) need a solid number two receiver. T.J. Houshmanzadeh is sitting out there, an early 30 version of Moose, and yet we make no move to get him, even though his addition to our team would help us in many ways, the most important of those being the slackening of coverage on Steve and the lessening of pressure on our two running backs. Those running backs deserve all the help we can get them, as they are the foundation of our offense.

Really we should have also signed Patrick Crayton, IMO. PANTHERS MANAGEMENT LISTEN TO YOUR FANS PLEASE.

I have liked him for a while (wanted us to draft him). Hes nothing special athletically but he is a very smart and instinctive receiver and he is excellent at shielding the ball from the defender to give QB's an easy throw. Would love that pick up.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
