I wonder who wrote that line for Packer since he know's nothing about sports.

You don't have to know anything about any sport to know that the defense we played vs the Cardinals was probably the worst plan ever for any game in any sport.

A dumb/blind/deaf/retard would have double teamed Fitz.

I talked to at least 7 guys on Sunday who can't tell the difference between a 3 point stance and a 3 point play who said the following:

"why did we stop running the ball so soon?"

"that # 11 was always by himself, why did they let that happen?"

"it looked like Carolina just didn't want to win"

All the obvious stuff we have beat into the ground makes this loss so incredibly painful.

Man, at least double cover Fitz and make AZ have to do SOME kind of adjustment.

Just makes me sick...

On "PrimeTime" today, Mark Packer said "I'd like to watch the Eagles-Cards game with Fox, just to say 'Hey, look! The Eagles are double teaming Fitzgerald instead of playing a soft zone! Why didn't we try that?'

Forget just having him watch them double Fitz, have him and TGRO watch Philly, Pittsburg, and Baltimore play. Ask them why dont the Panthers play a more aggressive style defense and get rid of this bend dont break crap.

So Trgovac, obviously, but who were the other six?

(uncharacteristically mean of me I know, but I can't imagine another year with him as coordinator; DL coach, maybe, but I like Sunseri there too)

The saddest part of this...

Mark Packer and Jim Rome are both idjits who work in jobs their sports knowledge doesn't merit. They are the epitome of style over substance. Frankly, I know ten year olds who have more real football knowledge than either of 'em.

And yet, even they know we should have concentrated our gameplan on stopping Fitzgerald.

At this point, is there anyone other than Mike Trgovac and John Fox that didn't know this prior to Saturday's game?

    • It's still CJ by a wide margin.  BY has closed the gap, but the gap is still considerably large.  Let's not forget CJ was without basically ALL of his weapons in this last game against the Patriots, and I'm pretty sure he had an injury.  BY lost to that same Pats team by like 40 points.  In fairness, a good bit of that was due to the defense.  That said, BY was completely incapable of keeping us in the game.  Mistake free football does not always equal good football.  He still had a bad game.
    • Playing QB in this league is tough.  I can't hate on a man's work ethic without knowing exactly what it is.  From everything I've read about him, I seriously doubt his work ethic has dropped.  He had 2 concussions in 2 years, has his OL downgraded, got a different OC, and lost his best weapons due to injury in these short 2 years after his rookie year.  Throw that in with teams having more film on him and the drop-off makes sense.  Maybe he needs to change what he does in the offseason to adapt better, but I doubt he has an issues with work ethic.
