Panther cornerback tandem #5 of top 5

Agreed, top 5 is accurate, asking for more than that is a bit of a stretch. That said, I don't know if I agree with their #1, but I'm all about someone finally giving Gamble and Marshall the credit they deserve.

And, if you put Captain Nickel Corner in there, I think our comparison to the league only gets better.

yup. it's about tandems, not the best corner and whoever lines up on the other side. Cromartie just isn't a good football player.

hes a very good corner he might not give it his all ie Pep....but he is only a year removed from leading the league in picks that means something partner teamed up with Revis equals best tandem...his major knock is tackling if you look back its never been coverage. he just didnt wanna get his shoulder seperated by Shonn greene lmao but he is a top notch corner...if we brought him here you would be screaming at the top of your lungs we have the best tandem I'd BET that.....

you watch the video about the top 5 CBs?

Woodson's top 5 CB's did not include Champ bailey, instead, it included asante samuel. he said that samuel makes a lot of big plays but also gives up a lot of big plays. but he's aggressive so that's ok. since champ doesn't give up big plays for not being "aggressive", he does not make the top 5.

now i'm sorry, but i'd rather take a solid corner that i can guarantee will not give up big plays over one who might give up a big play and might make one himself.

The fact that Richard Marshall had 88 stops and Gamble had 58,while both got four interceptions, shows they are playing some pretty good football.

For them to have continued success,we will need for the front four to continue applying pressure on the QB in the regular season, like it did in the preseason.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
