Best Buy Employees

No offense to anyone who works there....but they are so bleeping clueless.

So I go in the other day looking for a locking mechanism for my new HD monitor that totally kicks ass. I go up to the guy in the computer area and ask: "Where can I find a lock for my monitor?"

He responds: "There's no such thing"

I go: "I saw it advertised on your website, it locks into either laptops or monitors"

He goes: "You must have read it wrong, we don't carry that"

I proceed to the next imbecile and he responds with the same blankness. So, I look myself, find a section with locks. I find exactly what I'm looking for, walk up to the first guy who's helping some people and tell him "You need a new job" and leave.

Urghhhhh! :banghead:

After high school and when I was at ECPI, I got hired at the Best Buy in computer sales. I went there one day (orientation) and then quit because Circuit City (at the time) wanted their employees to be subject matter experts and paid them commission (I went to work there). Best Buy just wanted dumbasses to be able to answer questions without hounding the customer.

best buy is just empowering the consumer to read the f*ck up about it yourself and go find it your f*cking self.

[typical angry libertarian arrogant retort]

more like walmart is reinforcing the tendency in the american public to buy the biggest, cheapest piece of shiat that they can find.

I have actually helped Best Buy employees find things in their store and had to explain to one the difference between PCI and AGP. They are basically only useful for pointing you in the general direction of something you are looking for, not much more than that.

If you buy something pricey...you will need an employee to grab you things from the stock room. :patriot:

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
