Panthers QB Matt Moore (concussion) is expected to start this week and start Sunday's home opener against the Buccaneers, according to NFL Network's Steve Wyche.

Moore's concussion is being described as "very mild," as if there's such thing as a mild concussion. Though he's "feeling well and communicating fine," Moore still has to pass a battery of tests before he can take the field. Check back on Wednesday for the Panthers' first injury report of the week.

FML . . . Oh well, hope the line holds up and he helps us win on Sunday. To be honest, I was really looking forward to seeing how good or bad Clausen will play.

If it is any indication..the shipment of Depends that was ordered for JC has been cancelled!

I am begining to think that if Moore had it in him..winning psyche...he lost it during the draft! Why? The media love affair with JC was almost as bad as the msnbc/Obama thrill up da leg!

Moore was being lauded, whilst Jake was getting demoralized by the day...not separated from his self inflicted "wounds." Matt was feeling the love that was his at game one. Jake started to show the partemwhen it was clear that Matt was in and he (Jake) was out. For Matt that love faltered when we saw a ND talent, that many felt was our re-incarnation. He (JC) might be our savior, but tell me what happened between the last real game (vs. Giants) and this Sunday's game with regards to Matt Moore's situation and mental state!

If I were Matt, and told that the job was "mine to lose" I'd start getting pink slip fever, and if none of you see that, you need a damn good firing! I've had some..deserved usually, but at high points in my life none the less!

I regret that we lost Sunday, hated the drive back to NC, but kept thinking how Matt must feel...and it took little time for the base to spout "replacement" discussions a lot quicker then we did for Jake, and Matt had fewer "bad stats" to date!"

well, as Reed and Gantt have reported Fox simply has never actually played someone the next Sunday after a concussion....even a mild one. I am sure Moore will practice....also wouldn't be surprised if it is oddly quiet about what goes on in practice this week. If Fox is starting a rookie QB.....pretty sure he will want the opponent to fully know that. Moore could be cleared to practice.....but starting him would be very unlike the John Fox we know. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Quick off topic question, if the game is blacked out......can you still get it on the Sunday Ticket? If you are in the Charlotte area? (didn't want to start a new thread). Thanks in advance if anyone knows.
