Fox would not say who would start against Cincinnati next week when the Panthers try to avoid starting 0-3 for the second consecutive season.

"Right now I don't think I can make that decision at this point. I don't think Matt's been benched by any stretch," Fox said. "Yet, we'll start whoever gives us the best chance to win next week."

Also, wonder if this could be trouble:

But at least one veteran offensive player thought Sunday might have signaled a changing of the guard.

Asked how the offense would change with Clausen running it, receiver Steve Smith said, "We're going to find out next week."

Why not? It's clear to me the Panther's don't give a poo about winning, why should I make them my primary focus the rest of the season?

Besides, I've actually liked the Texans for years. And since they have a real team that's showing up to win games, might as well cheer for a team that might have a Cinderella season.

If we can pull off a winning record, I'll change it back. Till then, Go Texans!

So lets just pretend that Fox IS going to start Clausen next week, does anybody think that he would be helping him at all by acknowledging it a week before?

The worst thing Fox could do would be to come out the Sunday before the game is even played and straight telling Cinncy "Yeah, we are going to be starting our rookie next week".

At least at this point Cinncy won't be able to spend ALL week game-planning for Clausen. Although more than likely they will already be spending the majority of the week planning on it. Give the man a break.

Oh, and blackcatgrowl, you are a scrub. That is the nicest way I can imagine to put it.
