Found my dream car...

Agreed, the '63 with the split window is one of the pinnacles of achievement in automotive design. It's too bad the C2 Corvette had such a short run.

But what's really cool is some bodyshops are doing conversions to make the C7 Corvetes look like the '63s. I saw one at the Woodward Cruise last year. Absolutely fugging gorgeous.

For me, all time best, '63 Corvette has the slightest of edges over the '67 Mustang GT 500.

I think on the '63 it's the rear tire fender bulge that does it... man that is a sexy ass car. I talked to the guy that owned this one and he's the only owner it's ever had. He bought it brand new in '63. It does not have the original engine, it has a newer model LS7 in it and it has been re-done on the interior too. It is in perfect shape.

It's an interesting time for classic car collectors. With the exception of the super high end foreign stuff ($200,000 plus), it became a buyers market with the recession and has stayed that way. Problem is finding people willing to sell them at a price much lower than what they could have gotten in '05-'07. Sort of tug of war where it is best to just sit and wait until the seller caves.

Those old cars really were works of art. Sexy, because they're designed with hips (lines) like the shape of a well-built woman.

'63 Vette

This Z06 wasn't too shabby either...

Or I would take a new ZR1...

Oh yeah, there were a few cuties around too... :D

I used to own 2 Vettes. A 1972 Stingray and 1990. I was trying to buy a 1965, but we couldn't arrive at a price. (We were $2500 apart which doesn't seem like a lot considering it was a Corvette. I didn't feel like coming up to $27,500 and he wouldn't come down to $25,000!)

Here's the pic of my 1972 "Blue Beast". My '90 is under the car cover.

    • Backup QB has been an issue of mine for a long time but not just for Bryce and Dalton. We have never really been able to develop QBs or build an offense around strengths. Dalton isn't going to move the needle one way or another. The problem is in our FO and possibly coaching staff (current staff undetermined as of yet). I'm of the belief that you always try to get better. Dalton wasn't good other than one game against an abysmal defense. Churn the roster, including backup QB. If BY isn't the guy we've got to start over anyway. Who knows. We might actually find someone good. Other teams have done it before.
    • Lol. Worst case? I think you mean most likely result. I don't think people are going to be wasting much breath on Dalton or QB2 if Bryce flounders this year. It's going to be people calling for coaches, GM's and owners heads for the mess we got ourselves in with Bryce in the first place. Rightfully so.
    • I mean that's his sole reason for being here. He doesn't win football games. He's here to keep Bryce comfortable.
