Panthers Would be 3-0 With Vick

Yeah, Imagine if we traded Armanti's pick for Boldin, resigned Peppers and signed Vick when he wanted to come here. We would be 3-0, the hottest ticket in the league and the first story on all of these NFL and ESPN talk shows.

We still have Fox as our head coach. His giant pool of suck is far greater than the sum of any talent you can muster. Pick anyone you want, we'd still suck ass.

You're right, Richardson is a terrible racist. He'd never allow a black QB to start for his team.

He wouldnt. His people would view him as a sellout and disown him as a traitor. Richardson's not gonna risk that in his last few years. He's also not that a great a businessman. My 5 year old nephew could've told you the amount of money, attention, and wins we would garner with a QB with the talent of Michael Vick. As opposed to the imaginary brownie points we get for not having a "*****" "felon" QB on our roster. But hey, its his team, if he isnt motivated to win, thats his right.

if vick was here he wouldn't look nearly as good as he has these last two games. philadelphia's offense is similar to what he played under in atlanta. philadelphia was a perfect fit, carolina is not.

that being said with vick's "success" everyone still needs to wait and see. he's shown flashes all throughout his career. he's just never been consistent.

Taking another hit of negative rep here but I was 100% on board with signing Vick when we could and we were his preferred destination. Here at the Huddle, I was basically called an idiot who knows nothing about football and that Vick sucks so I'm going to rub it in for the 2nd straight week. This will be my last time unless Vick leads Philly to a run in the playoffs and then I may post something like this again.

:ciappa:

it really doesnt matter, our coaches wouldnt have made him better like the philly coaches.

People have different values. JR doesn't want any negative issues with the Panthers since Carruth et al.

Call it high moral integrity, or call it not wanting to win enough to hire a felon. Vick has nothing to do with being a black QB, it's about his legal issues. No one will be on the Panthers roster with off field issues, period.

No doubt in my mindd if Jimmy Johnson called the shots the best players available would be on the field, and we'd win more.

As long as JR owns the team though, that won't be the case.

I respect JR for that, although I sure as hell would like to win more games.

If my choice were going 3-0 with Vick or 0-3 without him, I would glad be 0-3. I don't like him and have no respect for him as person. I wouldn't want him to be the leader of my team.

It pains me that he is the Eagles quarterback which is my second favorite team or was until Vick started.

For me winning no matter what isn't the only thing that matters. Just like I have no respect for cheap shot artists. As a fan I don't have to prostitute myself all in the name of winning.

another retarded post on the huddle.you cant be serious.

I am. If I can't root for that guy, how can I root for him leading our team? Not worth selling out our integrity to win some games. I think Richardson can be too conservative by not going after some players, but the lines is drawn for me at Vick.

    • One thing about it, he's not thinking about retiring. I found it odd that some Huddlers were taking rumors and running with them, imagining a slow down and "up-playing" injuries. Moton feels great and is still in his prime according to him, and his game is still indicative of his thoughts.  Sure, it may ultimately come down to economics, but I am sure that everyone involved is motivated to keep him in Charlotte.
    • I think the knee stuff with Moton has been blown way out of proportion. The exact quote was “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it. But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future,” After a while, you start learning more about it and what can we do to make sure it’s as little of an issue as possible. I feel like I’m moving like I was when I was younger.” I don't view that as a guy who's saying his knees are on their last leg I see that as a 10-year NFL olineman saying that obviously after 10 years of playing a really physical sport, he's never truly gonna be 100% healthy again and he's gonna need to spend more time with the training staff to ensure his body can continue to perform at a high level. I think Moton has another 3 to 5 years left if he wants to continue playing.
    • So much crying. Tiresome. All of you should have had enough time to come to terms with the team picking up his 5th year...
