Wharton came back in after that injury, right? I know that doesn't necessarily mean he's healthy, but I took it as a good sign. I certainly hope he's okay.

Wharton came back in after that injury, right? I know that doesn't necessarily mean he's healthy, but I took it as a good sign. I certainly hope he's okay.

I hope so too but sometimes ankles can be heavily taped and you can return but it swells after a day or so and actually gets worse not better. Again I hope you are right.

He isn't just off the street, he is a vet with years of experience. And there was speculation before the season that Kalil will leave in free agency after the season. We could go with Morris and draft someone like we did Kalil next year. it isn't as if we will good in 2011 if and when we play.

It goes further than that, kids. How coincidental is it that Otah announces he is gone for another 4 weeks or so at the same time the Panthers are signing an O-lineman? Morris is pretty versatile and could probably play center and guard on either side.

After getting even thinner at DT, I don't think signing Morris was for the sole purpose of adding depth at center. I think there's more to the Otah injury, which I've been saying for weeks regardless, and I think the Panthers are going to start moving people around on the O-line...
