What the hell is Fox doing with his use of rb's? His best rb was averaging 6.5 ypc and he only gets 10 touches, not to mention they throw him 0 screens. Now he adds Goodson to the rotation, further mucking things up.

Um just a guess, but maybe because we aren't getting the 6.5 ypc when we need them. We aren't consistently running the ball very well right now.

couple reasons...

1) playing from behind you don't run very much

2) they figured out how to shut down the run game...constant run blitzes. thats going beyond the typical stacking the box we are used to. they've gotten bolder because they don't fear the passing game (nor should they).

flat out...the run game wouldn't help us with the holes we get in and it just isn't effective and it won't be until we can get the defenses from blitzing and sending so many in.

the run game only works if you aren't backed up into a corner and getting the crap beat out of you. i'm sure fox would love to run the ball more (since his whole antiquated football philosophy is "run the ball, stop the run". we just can't.
