Weis should be our next OC or HC

In my opinion, Charlie Weis should be our next OC or possibly even an offensive playcalling HC. He knows our young franchise QB better than anyone, we already use his playbook and he's made the most out of every opportunity he has gotten. The only concern I have about Weis at this point is his health.

I'm not sure he's going to get an NFL head coaching job anytime soon.

(poor record as a college head coach, plus some health issues)

OC maybe, but you'd arguably have a better shot of getting him for that role with John Fox remaining as head coach, and I don't see that happening.

Mind you, I like Weis as an OC. I just don't see it happening here.

Yea and while we're at it lets trade Steve Smith for Golden Tate since he knows our franchise QB so well, and underneath the Panther statues outside the stadium lets put a picture of touchdown Jesus.

Right because that's the same as bringing in an OC/HC to fill an obvious void that just happens to know our QB and playbook...

His record at ND was poor but I don't think it was poor enough to hold against him. Most people understand that the best coach in the world can't get past the limitations at ND.

Once again, the fruit that has fallen from the Belichick coaching tree has been, errr, unremarkable so far. And man, I don't remember seeing anyone talking about how Notre Dame was firing up the college rankings.

ND will never be a legitimate contender for a national title simply because they cannot compete from a recruiting standpoint (academic requirements)

How many 1st round draft picks have come out of ND in the past 10 years?

Those of you saying Weis will not be a HC because of his record at ND are crazy.

First of all, it took him all of a week to land an OC job in the NFL after he got fired. No one cared about his ND experience because the guy's hand is full of rings.

Now we have a KC team that is 3-0. Given the scarcity of coaches with head coaching experience, expect to see Weis getting very strong looks if KC makes the playoffs.

And as far as ND goes, Weis never started a season 1-3 like Brian Kelly has. Granted they aren't comparable but it just goes to show you that even a great college coach like Kelly has trouble winning with ND's existing talent. Their defensive recruiting was touted as 4 or 5 star but have been absolutely terrible the past few years.

Stop it...your using logic and reason....Huddlers only look at the W-L record and beat their chest. Who the hell wants to move to Indiana and have high Academic standards. hmmm I Visit any SEC school like FLA or Georgia, Ol Miss..or go to texas, USC....the women are hotter...and its not Indiana

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
