So there have been so many ridiculous comparisons between Clausen and other rookie starters in the first games, I thought I would go ahead and find some highlights look up some stats etc. Also keep in mind supporting casts, opponents, among other variables.

Joe Flacco

Game 1: 15-29, 129, 1 rush TD.

EDIT---- ADDING PLAYERS

Jamarcus Russell

Game 1: 7-23, 88, 1TD, 3 INT

Not gonna bother looking up video.

Game 2: 23-31, 224, 1 TD, 1 INT

Not gonna look up video.

Brady Quinn:

DID NOT START AS ROOKIE.

Matt Lienart

Game 1: 22-35, 253, 2 TD, 1INT

Game 2: 24-42, 232, 2TD...

-------

Point being, rookie's are sporadic, and a lot of people are making comments out of memory and most of it is not true. Flacco/Ryan etc DID NOT look good their first two games, they looked sporadic. Each one of these Rookie's had there moment, does it mean success? No, it's something you got to let play out. Lets let Jimmy play out before we start calling bust, or franchise, etc... Jimmy has played as well as any of them minus Mark, Sam, and Freeman, but each of those have had awful games as well.

Keep this in mind as you watch and read.

He has that swagger and confidence that he brings to the field. He will be the best QB the panthers have ever had in do time. Ands that's the only aspect of the game that we lack to be playoff contenders.

I don't care what people say, this is a rebuilding year for us and there will be some big contracts next year for our core players.

    • I turned to the NFL Network and they are playing the Wildcard Game against the Rams I think we gained a lot of respect around the league we hung in there for a while into the 4th Quarter 🙂
    • Does anyone know for sure if the game tonite will be on HBO max?  That is where I watched the last one and only access I currently have- I am in SE NC and no broadcast stations carry the games.😖
    • take a  look around the league at other young Qb's such as Drake Maye , Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix , CJ Stroud  & Caleb Williams who at the time like Bryce Young they also were drafted by teams with a losing record .the only difference with these Qb's is after joining their teams with a losing record they led those same teams to a winning record in a very short period of time .it's simply what you call a game changer & or elite Qb's & then take a  look at  the other side of the coin you have Qb's such as Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, Justin Fields  & Anthony Richardson also like Bryce Young all first round picks who instead of winning either did not play or led their teams to a losing record while playing  Bryce Young who has an overall record of 14-30 & wildly inconsistent & never in the history of the NFL has a Qb 5'10" or shorter had a successful carrer as Qb in the NFL  if anything history is telling you exactly what ?..just saying
