Harris is gonna destroy at least one of our rookies and make him think twice about trying to catch a pass the rest of the game. He has been bringing it so far this year.

first play of the game they should go playaction and Clausen should be forced to air out a deep one against Harris.

Who is faster between gettis and clowney? I say gettis but clowney looks to have better hands, so maybe send clowney deep on the first play? Or is it to soon to have clowney in the O this fast???

Martin and Godfrey are every bit as good as Godfrey and Harris, have been playing very well for the most part and will continue to improve. But yeah, you're right, we probably should have held on to the aging safety who couldn't cover instead of letting the young guys get experience.

Yeah, think how many games we'd have lost if Harris was still here......

I'm glad this thread isn't about the douche bag on Packman's radio show. Did you guys know he and "dimbee" are one and the same?

A side note on my suggestions for improving Charlotte as a sports town:

1. Have our radio hosts be Panthers fans.

2. Have our Panthers forums be moderated exclusively by Panthers fans.

Thanks. Let me know when complete.

the guys that are mods here that aren't Panthers fans have been here since the dawn of this website, and I trust they're judgment more then many panthers fans on here, I have said for a while now that I think this is one of the best modded forums on the internet and have always like have always enjoyed it because of that.

If you visit a few other forums you will know what I mean, I have been on ones where mods were power tripping and others where there was no mod in site for months at a time.

Worst nightmare this week - Armanti going over the middle and just getting the tips of his fingers on a slightly high pass with Harris closing in...

C'mon guys, we got Jamar Williams on that trade! Dude has 2 tackles already!

Yeah he's awesome. Still trying to figure out how he got hurt on that ST play... He keeps it up and I will dub him "Mr. Glass," so much for that he's versatile and will challenge for a starting spot, he can play every position, blah blah blah... How about he needs to stay on the field, I'm almost surprised he made it over Morty Ivy at this point.

Although I don't listen to the panthers radio, making the radio consist of these biased ignorant fans is the worst idea I've heard. Every week they will be bashing our superstars, trying to trade our other superstars, and talking ish about a player because the player did something best for themselves.

    • Canales up first. Guys got their legs back yesterday and started a little slow when they came out Bryce challenged them in the huddle and they responded "Dominant practice for the defense today." Praised turnovers, "beautiful hits," and being physical Praised Moehrig, Ransom, Incoom, and Jones II Confirmed playing starters. Predominantly a young team and can't pass up an opportunity. Emphasized game day routines such as nutrition, body readiness, etc. Plus it's a bunch of new guys on the defense. Bryce will start. Will play them the first two, but starters might sit for the third game depending on how practice goes that week. Nic Scourton has a mild hamstring that happened in special teams. DJ Johnson had an issue with his hip flare up and is getting checked out this afternoon. Experimenting with approach to preseason games. In Seattle they played their starters in all but the last preseason game and what Pete Carroll was looking for in terms of mental readiness to play football. Thomas Incoom has been getting a lot of work with AC Carter adding to his toolbelt. Getting better as a rusher and being physical in the run game. Looking for a consistency in response. 1pt for a win, 3pts for a TD. Defense doesn't like that, but in games if they give up one go ball the score can swing. They challenged the pass game and the run game today. Guys are getting together before, between, and after team drills to challenge each other Job of the coaching staff to set the foundation for our schemes, philosophy, and expectations of what it's like to play Panthers football. Powerful when players take that and the locker room owns it. That's when it becomes our team, their team. At the end of the day, the men on the field have to rebound from a bad play, celebrate the good plays, and keep each other in tune for a whole game. Robert Hunt is amazing. Size, talent, quickness, flexibility. Really intelligent guy that there will say himself there are technique things he needs to work on. Regardless of where players are at, there's a constant learning curve and loves that Big Rob is challenging himself with the position coach. Thinks the digital down and distance can be really valuable. Getting the information quickly will help with the flow of the game. Thought TMac looked great but there were some near misses that he'll have to get in the room and communicate with Bryce on while reviewing film. James Mitchell keeps doing right and his trust factor is increasing with the QBs. If you're right and the coverage says the ball goes there, it'll come. Had some issues at the start of camp but is trending up. Newton or Person: "It looked like today was beyond thud but short of live. What do you call that?" Canales: "No, that's thud. In my mind, that's what thud should look like. The challenge for our defensive guys is can you put your body in a position where we know that would've been a tackle." Whizzing by, tagging with two hands, etc doesn't show you whether you would've made a tackle. That's not real football. Let's the play extend because guys have to be ready to chase sometime where the ball squirts out from a pit. Can't train to say "Ah, it was a tackle" and relax but instead play with intensity through the whistle. Lathan Ransom is bringing the physical style of play that they saw on film. Has been really into the details and someone that they can count on. Has really given himself a chance to start at the other safety position. Excited for the extra energy from a game-like environment that they'll get from FanFest. Used to have four preseason games and now FanFest feels like that first one. Will give ST full speed reps to evaluate. Making plays and feeding off of the fans. Window closed quickly on the INT to finish practice. CSW baited Bryce with some movement and made a great play. Saw it from Bryce's perspective with TMac coming open. Has played all over the secondary that they can count on to speak loudly and be on the same page with his teammates.
