I have a bad feeling that was the last game for Deangelo in this uniform

The question is will Williams even want to come back next year. We will have a new coach, with a young team, and Williams might want to sign with a contender. If that is the case, (and the front office might know more about that situation), then wouldn't it be best to trade Williams for something useful rather than losing him next year and getting nothing?

My biggest fear. D-Lo, Kalil, Stewie, Beason, etc. All their contracts are up in the next 1-3 years. Why would ANY of them want to re-sign here? JR better pay the next coach big money or we will have to scrape the bottom of that barrel as well.

Not that I think it'll happen, but at least Brandon Jackson ran for over 100 yds today for GB. Maybe they can live with that. Then again, they lost.

Exactly.

And for the people saying "BUT ADAM SCHEFTER SAID THEY WOULDN'T!", haven't you heard of supply and demand? We drive up the price of DeAngelo by turning down the offers, we hold out to see what Green Bay does without a running back for as long as possible, and when we realize they flounder, we pull the trigger on a deal that is substantially better than initially.

Besides, DWill could always be traded this season and come back here next.

IF (Big IF) there is little or no Football next season, I don't see JR & Company Franchising DWill! Trade him now and get a high Draft pick for the next draft, whenever that is!

I see some kind of Rookie salary cap coming for Draft.

I see JR & Company thinking, "Why pay Dwill big bucks when I can draft a rookie for 1/4-1/3rd the salary of what would I have to pay him!"

I'd do it, not like the oline is gonna do anything for him. these 3 yard losses and 2 yard runs are pathetic. And a RB will get worn out. We don't have the pieces for a power running team, we have the pieces for a finesse team.. Yet we keep trying to run it up the middle 0493804938 times to no avail. Yeah DWILL is def not coming back next year anyway.

D-Will will leave in free agency obviously but he will be with us rest of the year im willing to bet. Who the hell would want to play for a franchise that is more interested in saving money than they are winning? its a lose/lose situation either way if he stays with the Panthers. Im sure he is counting the days till he can get the hell out of here.
