Yea we suck so bad let's get rid of one of our best players. Improvement here we come

he's gone anyways, we'll never pay him. why? we have stewart and goodson fairly cheap. this is DeWill's "BIG" contract, the one he's earned and will be worth many millions of dollars.

he's gone, if not this week, then this offseason. it is what it is.

I look at it like this, D-Will is possibly our best player now, he's on the expiring year of his rookie contract, and we are deep at RB as Goodson could start on some teams in the NFL and he's our 3rd RB.

Stewart is capable of being a beast, but he's injury prone. He's also younger than DWill and has more years left on his deal keeping him at a cheap salary.

My worst fear is that we're turning down trades for D-Will with no plan for the future and he'll end up walking after we low-ball him once the CBA issue is resolved... Just like the Peppers situation (except we didn't low-ball him initially).

So, if there is no plan in terms of how he's going to handled in regards to his extension in the future, I don't want to do it, but we'd HAVE TO trade DWill.

I'd prefer to trade Stew, but I don't think we're going to re-sign DWill for whatever reason so we better get value for him now b/c we flub extensions (Pep, Jake, etc.).

They're saying we've turned down all offers so I have a feeling we're going to flub this one up too and he's gonna walk.

I aint gonna lie...if we trade D-Will now, trade Steve Smith next year, while letting this horrible coaching staff keeps their jobs until the season end...it will be very hard for me to continue to root for this team.

This is the saddest s*** I've ever seen...I just can't see a reason for us to get rid of D-Will...none

There's yet to be any real evidence that the Panthers have interest in trading Williams, Stewart, Smith or anyone else.

that is true.

I think the organization is just asleep behind the wheel right now. They are just cruising w/ no real plan in sight except to get to the end of this season. Which could have bad results down the road....

I agree. They are too important to the team. The main problem right now is the coaching & the O-Line not doing their job. Like before, we have the players but the wrong people to tell them how to play.

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
