RBs in the Passing Game

Why are the running backs not more involved in the passing game or short passing game?

Why does no one in the reporting teams in Charlotte ask that question of Hurney or Fox?

Seems to me that would help a Rookie QB and a struggling offensive line quite a bit.

I don't get it either. The few times they've done it, the backs have managed to get decent yardage.

Seems like a no-brainer. You take advantage of defenses that either aggressively blitz or just load up against the run, you let your quarterback gain a little confidence, and most importantly, you move the chains.

I know BB. I am so upset over this. Never thought of getting rid of my PSLs before.

But, for the love god, if they can get Deangelo Williams and Mark Goodson in space, why would they not want to do that.

The reporting teams in Charlotte cannot ask good questions for fear they won't get any more answered. However it's almost as if they shouldn't bother in the first place with the crap we get instead.

Yep, and Stew's also a decent receiver. My friend and I were talking about this very thing while at the game yesterday. Then Clausen threw a quick pass to Stewart who, if I'm not mistaken, ran for the first down.

They've done it some, but they need to do it more. With so much inexperience at receiver, we need toss the ball to the tight-ends and running backs more often.

Fox's offensive philosophy might as well be written in stone. There's no adjusting it. Same poo we ran in 2002 we're running now.

Many here don't seem to understand that sometimes you need short yardage passes to open up the run.

we have to give goodson more screens we havnt used in the last 2 games. we dont need to play him more then williams and johnathan like we did against the giants but play him alittle

Honestly I'm not surprised that teams haven't caught on to our screen passes. Every time Goodson is lined up at RB in the shotgun it's a screen pass or the QB checks down to him.
