Otah Out Atleast 3 More Weeks

If we IR him, that means our O-line is pretty much screwed until the rest of the season...

Not sure Otah would have changed anything. QB play is the only way to make the OL look like what it really is. 9-10 guys in the box is just too much.

I would IR, then, starting Week 10, or whenever he's supposed to be healthy, make his fat ass work with team doctor's, hire him a nutritionist, and make sure he gets healthy as much as possible. He'd be constantly rehabbing, working on his eating, training, and then next year make sure he's healthy.

If he came into Training Camp next year over-weight, I would fine the ever living poo out of him until he got under-weight.

True...I think what some of us was hoping for was that we wouldn't be quite as bad as we are now. Schwartz should be a better RG than Bern and Otah should be a better RT than Schwartz.

I called it in another thread two days ago let's see if someone can find it or I will just look myself in one moment. He will be going on ir around week 8-9 I have inside information on him it always helps being cool with one (actually two) of his "groupies" hope they never see this post or it might be a fist fight.

He'll be 25 next June, so he's still very, very young. He still has time to let that knee rest, and let him get fully healthy without it doing any damage to the future of our team.

IR him, please.

In other news, the Panthers signed a G to the Practice Squad

Panthers make practice squad move: Sign G Adrian Martinez (Colorado St., SEA and IND camps), release WR Eron Riley.

Preparing to IR him?

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
