I think once I get out of my contract, I'm gonna just build a multi-media center/DVR computer, have a nice HD antenna, and go with hulu and netflix. Probably will save a ton of money.

Not a bad call, we stream Netflix on our Wii. Works great.

My neighbor went crazy recently when TWC took like 3 or 4ch from there basic cable package and said you needed a box to get the oxygen channel.lol

I'm a Dish network subscriber and I think you mean Dish, not Direct. Fox Sports West is black right now. Supposodely if things aren't worked out by Nov 1 we'll also lose Fox TV.

I dropped TWC long ago when they dropped NFL network.

I don't give a poo about Fox programming except for their Sports. They best get it worked out.

Dish is forever dropping channels and in contract negotiations/disputes...been like that forever.

Damn it sounds like I'm a lucky SOB with them. Every time I've had a problem, they come out the next day, one time came out the same day when I called on a Saturday at noon.

One time they rewired my whole house to fix a problem. Guy was there most of the day. My price lock has been great, I got road runner and all the cable channels plus DVR for $110/month.

If I was unsatisfied I would switch though, but my neighbor had Dish come out to his house and they tried to install, but too many trees...couldn't get a solid signal so even if I wanted Dish I probably couldn't get it.

Not aware of any channels being dropped (or maybe that I care about?) in the years I've been with Dish other than this Fox dispute right now.

I want to drop them, and just get HD antenna. I just hate not being able to watch Bobcats games in HD or w/e.

Soon ESPN3 will be on xbox live so that'll be nice.
