Thanks..for sharing ????

I guess??

Indeed, I thank Catman. It is a real perspective of what is actually going on and more news than what you can get from the Observer or the Panthers.

It is not sugarcoated and PC'd to keep the atmosphere unrealistic like what we witness from the media here in Charlotte.

Do you seriously think they would have posted about the 5-6 passes it took to get a completion or the fact that Moore was 1-10? No

So thanks Catman for using your time and fandom to provide us craving Panther fans with knowledge, the good and bad side of it all.

LOL, sorry - CJ (the security guy that's been there since day 1) reminded me that he's seen them look like poo in practice and play well in the game that week and he's seen them look amazing in practice and play like poo in the game that week, so practice is not always a good indicator of how they will perform come gameday...

Having said all that, I'd still like to see our passing game look good in practice, haven't seen that all year.

I can remember going out to watch practices in years past and Delhomme would be carving up our defense and completing several deep passes to Smitty :(

I'm not pining for Delhomme to come back, his time was up here - just reminiscing about practices when our offense looked dangerous.

Thanks buddy, now I just need Zod to hook me up with some press credentials so I can really get a good look at what's going on! (kidding)

the more i see, the more i want fox and davidson gone.

anyone hoping for us to have an early pick next year will probably get their wish without having to root for the team to lose. it's just going to happen.

players from other teams talk about how predictable the offense is so what do the coaches do? get more predictable.

I think this is the main problem for us.

We just haven't look good passing at ALL this year. It's sorta hard to take the security guard's advice....

You play like you practice.

They practiced bad in the summer and it was blown off.

They couldn't move the ball in the preseason and it was blown off.

Then they couldn't move the ball in the regular season and it's all of the sudden surprising.

Regarding Clausen working with the RBs, he NEVER had a fumbling issue in college. I never once remember him fumbling and I watched just about every ND game thanks to the national coverage.

His fumbling has to do with him trying to overadjust to the speed of the game and not taking care of the football. It's a correctable issue and one of the reasons why sitting him isn't a bad idea, not a systemic flaw in his game. Glad he is still taking snaps with the 1s.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
