Armanti Edwards : What do you do?

With the emerging presence and play of Gettis, paired with the positive play of Lafell today, how do you handle Armanti Edwards now?

Do you let him stay as a WR or do you move him and let him learn how to play QB in the NFL?

Obviously, they will not be so quick to part with the second rounder this year or the next, but what do you do with the situation now as the front office?

except for the few people who were expecting him to be thrown in the first year, most thought that he was a project and that means that they would get little playing time if they got any at all in the first year. honestly i wasn't expecting much from him this year. i'll wait till next year of the year after that to judge him. very good reason for the jury to be out on him.

you keep him at WR and give him a chance to learn the position. he has a lot of natural ability. just last week everyone was hating lefell, but he has now had a good game and can build on that. its too early to see what we have in edwards. maybe he never pans out. but with the steal of gettis, i dont feel as bad about the reach for edwards. at some point we will know what we have with him but its not yet. if you remember goodson played poor last year, he plays well now. i think we will see something out of edwards in the next year or so.

Interesting thought.... I hope that he has continued to practice at QB as well as WR & returner. But seeing as how he hasn't really been on the field, the coaches don't think that he's ready to be able to contribute enough. He needs to prove it there before we will see it, aside from injuries of course.

Well there was an interview posted on here from his draft day and the Panthers were not sure if they would use him as a QB or WR. Truly none of us know what will happen, but if Gettis and LaFell work out, we are loaded on playmakers in our backfield even though the O-Line doesn't show it. The true place we need help is at QB. Whether that player exists in the organization or we bring someone in.

Right now, QB is weaker than the WR play.

Like some folks say here, let him sit on the bench & learn from it. Same with Clausen. Sometime being benched for awhile is a good thing until you're ready.

you sit edwards & let him learn,maybe you get him so time near the end of the season.going forward if gettis & lafell continue to improve his best chance to see playing time will be at kr & pr. we could also use some in the wildcat & such.it's going to take 2 seasons or so for him to develop as a receiver IMO, we just have to find ways to use his natural abilities until then
