Feeling good about Sunday? Great.

Things get harder from here on out. You are now on tape and considered a threat. For the first time ever, NFL defensive coaches consider you a real threat. Cornerbacks and Safeties will sit around and watch your every play closely in the film room. They will figure out your tendencies, take away your strengths and exploit your weaknesses.

If ever there was a time to work even harder, its now.

Love,

Zod

The good news is that as long as we keep him lined up to Smitty's side with Smitty in the slot in a 3 wide set, they will have to decide who to double, one or the other but not both. He will still get single coverage and his skills are speed and size which still gives corners and safeties trouble. The best bet they have is jam him off the line but once he gets up to speed he can run right by folks.

He is the best route runner I have seen on this team in a long time. The little head fakes, extra steps, and all the other little intricacies of body language make all the difference

Kudos to Tyke Tolbert.

Kudos for the O-line and backs for giving enough time to for the routes to develop.

I was very impressed with the way he ran his routes and how he set guys up...he played like a veteran. Lafell impressed me too...it's like the light came on at the same time for these guys, even though lafell's was much dimmer before this game. Gettis seems like he gets it...he has done nothing but improve since day one.

    • Some people will shift the goal posts but he does still have to consistently help the team win, eventually. Not only help but be the reason. That's what franchise QB's do.
    • One of the Carolina Panthers' newest defenders thinks their pass rush can go from worst to first. ESPN's David Newton recently chatted with outside linebacker Pat Jones II, who signed with the Panthers as a free agent earlier this offseason. Jones comes over from an awfully impressive Minnesota Vikings defense—one that ranked first in takeaways (33), fourth in sacks (49) and second in QB pressure rate (44.4 percent) this past season. And despite a historically-bad campaign by Carolina's defense in 2024, the 26-year-old seems to believe his new unit can be similar—or even better—than his last. "I definitely think we could do something similar, if not better," Jones said, via Newton. "I've seen it before, so I know what it looks like. I look around the building and see we have exactly what it takes to do that." https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/24/panthers-pat-jones-vikings-espn/83840667007/?taid=683219b347846900018fa10a&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter     It's the offseason.  Let hope spring eternal. (actually, I think we are much closer than this board thinks)
    • 5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing.  How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure.  I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol
