I leave for one week.....

and things go from bad to worse. I have had so much stuff going on in my personal life I have not been able to look up anything on the Panthers in a week. Not even the results to the game on Sunday, not that it matters anymore but....seriously we lose to the Saints....again, Moore's really DONE, Jimmy and Pike played and we don't yet know who is starting?

WHAT ELSE THIS SEASON?

I'm so sorry to hear that about Matt. The dude just could not catch a break all year. And I hate that I missed seeing Pike. How did he do? What did Jimmy do to let Pike get play time? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? Someone give me a recap please.

Oh...and Jerry Richardson TALKED? NO WAY!

PS: Oh and I see Clawsome2 has resurfaced again talking smack. Don't worry I didn't committ suicide but I did work on a hit list while gone ;p

Recap:

Moore started and was horrible. Got injured on a sack.

Clausen came in and was horrible. Showed nothing, happy feet, line drives into the dline. Same old poo.

Pike came in late against prevent-d and backups and looked kinda ok. No arm strength to speak of but more poised than Clausen.

Moore's career is done in Carolina.

Jimmy Clausen is horrendous.

Tony Pike is really skinny and has a spaghetti noodle for an arm.

The defense once again looked great early but was on the field way too long to maintain it.

Connor is out for the year (and Davis was moved to IR).

Stew got his bell rung by Darren Sharper and didn't come back.

Sutton and Goodson are far from being every down backs (pray we don't lose 34, because he looks like our only decent RB right now).

John Fox went through 7 packs of Big League Chew.

JR apologized to fans but in essence said nothing.

That about sums up the week.

And the best QB on the roster was inactive again.

I appreciate it guys. Sorry it took so long to respond, but I honestly have very little time anymore to do this.

I will say this much, since I stopped doing the whole Panther Huddle day to day thing, I'm happier as a person.

Now another week goes by and even more laughable. I'm enjoying the show now. No point in ever talking about next year. With the way things are going, so many more DRASTIC changes are going to take places between now and the last game of this season that anything we try to debate on at the moment, will be completely off the mark by then.

Practice squad QB? SHEESH! Wished I could have seen more of Pike and that may happen now. Sucks for Clausen. Hope he can bounce back, but there is definitely no reason for him to rush back. Or it may be better let the grinder from the PS take the head shots for the remainder of this season and save Pike too.

At this rate we will be playing the entire practice squad by the end of the year. I'm actually quite frightened to read the headlines when I check back in a week.

I agree with ya on everything but Goodson, first 100 yd rushing game for a Panther this year. I'm not a big Goodson fan, but he was the Panthers offense against TB.

Nothing against Goodson, but Williams would have reached 100 yards in a couple games if he was given more carries. So it could have been done earlier.

I'm a little ashamed for not knowing this -- I've recorded the games the past two Sundays and just sort of skimmed through them.

What's the linebacker situation like now? Is Beason in the middle? Is Norwood out there? That's a shame about Davis -- I thought he was going to be back this year.

Beason was at the Mike, Anderson was at the Sam, and Nic Harris was at the Will and lead the team with 11 tackles. Which brings up a great topic for debate.

Is Thomas Davis a truly integral part of our defense, or is he simply a product of a system that allows the weakside position to thrive just by plugging in an athletic LB?

Thoughts?
