Gruden...

In all fairness his defenses while not great against the run still ranked top 10 in Indy. I am sure Manning had something to do with it. But still he has been pretty good especialy with this offense or lack of it. How much of the help was needed versus Fox butting in and asserting himself.

True.also for as long as I can remember the colts always needed a DT. the colts interior Dline was neglected for a long time.

Wouldn't you guys love to see Gruden in press interviews after getting blown out by 40. It would be Mike Singletary 2.0

I don't give a flying rip whether my team's coach gives entertaining interviews. It's what goes on the field that matters.

Yup and on top of all that he had a knack for rubbing players the wrong way... made Tampa a place guys didn't want to go.

Yep. Defensive guys were telling management they wouldn't play for Gruden if Kiffin was leaving.

While I do not necessarily support Gruden coming here to coach, I think the whole argument about him only winning the SB with Dungy's team is bogus. Yes, Dungy put that team together...but why didn't Dungy win with it then? You can't fault Gruden for winning with the team that Dungy couldn't.

Regardless of how much credit he deserves for winning the super bowl, my issue with Gruden is that his players didn't like him. No one enjoyed playing for him and it led to bad chemistry. One of the most important things a head coach has to do is get the team to buy into the system and act cohesively as a unit. A head coach will never be successful unless he has the loyalty of his players.

Saying that players didn't want to play for him is hearsay, you guys don't know for a fact that every player hated him. Personally i only watch Monday Night Football now because of Gruden, he has a personality that is contagious, so i disagree that players didn't want to play for him.

I 100% guarantee you that what you see on MNF is nothing like what you'd see in the locker room or at practice. I really like him as an announcer, but every game is an interview it seems like. Every player is elite, every coach is brilliant, every organization has their poo together, etc etc. Whatever the opposite of burning a bridge is, that's what he does every chance he has.

Forget Gruden, we can hire from within. How about Jackie Miles?

Should get the nod just for the sweet name, imo.
