One factor to consider in reference to Fox behing a "hot candidate" in 2011

I dont think he will need to dish dirt. The on field performance speaks for its self. Fox did not get his way and when the going got tough he threw everyone under the bus. I can count the times on my hand when this coaching staff made half time adjustments.

Here is the facts...

Fox still had a good team even without the players we lost.

None of those said players are even starting on other teams.

There are 4 or 5 teams with less talent and more wins than us and that speaks volumes.

Umm pretty sure Peppers starts for the bears. Just saying

Decisions he made? "you are going to have to ask the personnel department". The FO has as much of a hand in this as Fox.

Sorry for the awkward use of pronouns. I meant that JR has made some bad decisions this off-season, and is not the type to blame Fox for their consequences.

No, this is bull. First of all, this is not middle school. JR isn't going to go talk crap about Fox to keep him from getting a job. Furthermore, I doubt that one year of conflict between the two of them overshadows Fox's entire career here, the rest of which the two of them were close.

Second of all, JR may be respected but I can guarantee you he lost a little bit of that respect with his actions and the results of those actions this year.

Third of all, Fox is getting a job regardless.

Last year the youngest got their first win in week 8, and their second in week 15. Coaching is part of it, for sure, but experience counts as well.

And why does everyone care so much about whether Fox gets another head coaching gig anyway? Are you all that bound by resentment? It's one thing to be angry at the record, but isn't wishing failure for everyone involved kind of immature?

Last year the youngest team was the Packers then the Chiefs.

Packers: 11-5

Chiefs: 4-12

Coaching is a big part. Especially with young players. And Todd Haley is not that good of a head coach. This year the Packers are 6-3 and the Chiefs 5-4. The addition of Weiss has helped the Chiefs, but thier record still isn't that impressive. Fox can't use the excuse of having a young squad as the reason why his team has been terrible this year. It lands on his coaching and his outdated offensive philosophy along with keeping a terrible OC on board.

This is what happends when one realizes he cant win, he changes the subject. And my team has 1 loss, you on the other hand, like who??? That's what I thought.

You were the one talking about a team with no talent, so you brought up another subject first.

And anyways the Panthers have always spent their cap all the way up to the line, so that shows you are the hater and maybe you can jump on the Cleveland Browns bandwagon, since they are an up and coming team.

Ok, fine. Last year the current second youngest team in the league got their second win in week 15. And because they weren't actually the youngest last year, that changes everything.

BTW, I wonder how we would be doing if Aaron Rodgers was our QB and we didn't have an obvious lame-duck coach.

well yeah but JR isn't looking for a job

JR needs to sign future FA's and resign some of our players. He doesnt need Fox talking down about him, just like Fox doesnt need JR doing that to him. Both are grown men, I hope they dont resort to all that.

I'm with the guy that just wants them both to quit.
