Veterans of 2001

I'd figure most posters on this board would have been fans in 2001, considering the Panthers aren't exactly a bandwagon that most fans jump on.

Even though 2001 was a lot more painful because of the close losses, I still felt like we could win the games and watched them hoping for the victory. This year, I feel like we're easily the worst team in the league, we're not competitive, and I'm wondering how many touchdowns we'll end up losing by.

So give me 2001.

At this point, it's really not even a question... which is sad.... this 2010 version is THE WORST in franchise history and will go down as one of the worst in the history of the NFL...

I can't believe we're even talking about a Panthers team possibly being worse than the '01 Panthers... fuuuuuck ... and I was at that final game against the Patriots (who ended up winning the SB) it was the worst game ever... sitting in the upper deck in the rain watching my favorite team losing its NFL record tying (thank you Lions), 15th straight game, 6-38 ...it was horrible.

You're going to be in for a shock if we hire a competent HC.

This is EASILY a .500 team with good coaching.

He converted all 13 of his field goal tries with a 100% conversion rate that led all FBS kickers with at least 12 attempts. Fitzgerald was also perfect on his 14 extra points. He will compete with Matthew Wright for the Panthers’ kicking job in training camp. Harrison-Hunte went undrafted despite a strong showing at the Combine. He’s an older prospect who will turn 25 by the start of his rookie year, but he had just one season of sustained production at SMU after five years at Miami. Still, he earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2024 with 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks and will push for a roster spot in Carolina as an athletic interior disruptor.   more at the link https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/05/panthers-sign-19-undrafted-free-agents
