Do we need to worry about #2 WR

I understand the concern but I will say no.

Moose looked as good at the end of the season as he did at the start so I think asking one more year from him as the #2 is reasonable.

I think Jarrett is pretty good but he just can't get the touches partially due to Jakes eyes always eyeing Smitty and Moose and Fox's loyalty to Hackett

To me, the more pressing matter would be rebuilding the D. While he isn't going to set any records anytime soon, I think I saw a glimmer of promise in Jarrett this year. Moose ought to be good for another year, which will buy us time for Jarrett to come along even further, and also to see what next year's crop of talent will offer at the WR spot. In the meantime, I'd say cut Hackett (which should also help the cap), and keep an eye out for a good bargain WR in free agency. Of course, if we stumble across a diamond in the rough in the draft, it might be worthwhile to pick him up. But I think our most urgent concern should be shoring up our less than stout defense.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
