i was looking at a few threads from this offseason, and from the 2009 regular season, and recognized a whole lot of big name posters that have mysteriously disappearance.

amazing how a poo season sifts all the bandwagoners out of a fanbase... any bets on how many of these guys quietly return when we sign our first major free agent in the spring?

They probably figured out there are more important things in life than posting on a MB. Such as, their marriage, their occupation, their kids, their hobbies, their family, their freinds...on second thought i agree how dare they not stick around the mausoleum that is commonly known as the huddle.

It actually started last year. I think its a combination of Jake fans leaving because his time here was obviously done after he sh** the bed all year and fans that are just fed up with Fox.

    • Yeah...ouch 😕 Hate that. He's a full throttle guy, always gives his best. They said the door is open for him to return but after that long a stay in the protocol, I'd have to think it might be time to start thinking about retiring.
    • I didn’t necessarily think he was gonna get cut but I did think Rozeboom was viewed as an upgrade/replacement. I suspect the FO was concerned about the lengthy concussion protocol and wanted to mitigate this.
    • I'll add one more thought for you Icege  What could make me change my outlook? Think that will come down to the Panthers showing me something in preseason.  Not wins.  Not stats.  But I have long been a believer preseason can show you things about certain players, the team, etc (dates back to Matt Rhule era) and IMO has applied ever since.    Do they actually rep Bryce Young and not try to hide him this year? I feel that applied the past 2 seasons and drastically hurt him going into both seasons (that's on staff).  The young Cam Newton way was the way.  Take lumps in preseason.  Shake the rust off.  Get used to game speed again.  Not using the start of the actual season for your very young QB to find a groove.   They haven't repped him or rep him less than stud QBs.  I don't think either preseason the team was showing confidence in reality (only word) of what they had going into either of the last 2 seasons.    also, we need our young WRs doing the same.  They need the same reps.  Preseason games don't matter.  But they do.  They are real NFL reps vs people you don't see every day in real game environments.  They need lots of balls.  XL and Saunders combined for 2 catches all last preseason (XL at 0).    I get injury concerns and being overly cautious was part of that.  But those dudes still played.  Feel the staff did a poor job of working up our young guys in those moments leading into the season.  Get them catches.  Get them work.   If BY, XL, Tmac, Saunders are out there all preseason putting in real work going into this season and showing some confidence?   The players on O that will matter are?  I might change my view.  If it's just a bunch of not seeing Bryce, not seeing Tmac, not seeing XL, not seeing Saunders, etc.....and being told but it's totally going to be great week 1? Meh.
