Chris Gamble was Benched?

Gamble is way overpaid for what he is to us. He is marginal at best. The guy is forever getting burnt on something. He is slightly better than Marshall. he probably has good trade value though. I would for sure trade his ass for a second rounder. This guy takes up way to much cap space and aint worth it in the end.

So you think Gamble is "marginal at best" but you think that someone will trade us a 2nd rounder for him? K...

Gamble is going out the door for a 2nd, D-Will and Steve Smith for a first each, and Jordan Gross for 2 firsts and a 3rd.

also maybe Sutton for a 2nd but that may be a reach.

you have no idea how stocked we're gonna be man!

Gamble isn't a poor tackler...he just haven't been tackling anyone.

In the past 4 games, I've watched him look for his teammates to make the tackles when the ball carrier comes in his direction; while not even making an effort to attempt a tackle.

He deserves to be benched.

I think Gamble was benched b/c he has simply mentally has mailed it in.....probably also got caught saying something that rubbed the coach/teammates wrong. Fox doesn't tend to bench guys for a bad game or several......something else is going on with this one.

The eye in the sky doesn't lie... I'm sure they saw plenty of tape demonstrating Gamble's lack of effort lately.

Fox seems like the type guy if you work hard and try hard....he will let you play through crap to a large degree. I think that is why Godfrey has kept his job. I think Godfrey gives you 100% no matter what.

Gamble is the old man of the secondary. The season has been over for awhile now....I could see him simply not mentally going hard. I would guess it is not so much his performance but heart that got him the bench. Every other real defensive starter is young and trying to make a name for themsleves.

    • You guys remember when the narrative on here was that Bryce would be chronically injured in the NFL due to his size and Anthony Richardson would be super durable due to his? You remember when the narrative was that Bryce was physically incapable of throwing a ball further than 20 yards in the NFL? You remember “I’ll stop complaining when he throws for more than 200 yards and looks like an NFL quarterback”? You remember when 60 sacks was his fault and not the offensive line, slow WRs, and terrible scheme? Pepperidge Farm remembers. It will always be something for some people. Whatever insanity they come up with will be quickly dropped to move on to the next thing. Bryce could have an MVP Super Bowl winning season and they would complain that we can’t run the tush push with him. It will always be something.
    • For the Panthers fans still low on Bryce and demanding that he be a top-10 QB this upcoming season: What stat(s) will you need to see? Not the vibe you want, but rather what does he need to be top-10 in specifically? Passing yards? Completion percentage? Win-loss record? PFF grades? EPA? CPOE? Asking because this was asked before and... well... it ended up that the folks down on him didn't care about the numbers as much as they cared that they just couldn't get passed his size regardless of how he performed. It would be nice to get a straight-forward answer to that without the usual deflection and redirecting.
