Jimmy, grow some balls man

Throw the damn ball down the field. This is the NFL, not college. People rarely get wide open. Throw the damn ball. I don't care if you throw an int trying to make a play. Throw the damn ball.

what are you talking about..routes take time to develop, and players have to get somewhat open downfield for him to be able to do this.

The last play where we just got robbed,Jimmy ignored the easy checkdown to goodson, and scrambled till he found downfield Lafell for a guranteed first. The refs just robbed this poo out of us there

Thank you Panther4life. Some on this board have decided to HATE a certain QB for little to no reason. Some also forget that we still have a OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR calling draw plays on 3rd and long. Clausen is given plays to run he is not given free reign to do what he wants.

LOL, actually that appeared to be a throwaway and LaFell got to it. But okay..

Don't give me that 'some on this board' crap, I've barely posted in this forum this season. I want Jimmy to succeed, I don't want to be playing with another rookie QB next year, I simply want Jimmy to show some stones and heave a deep ball. Yes Davidson's playcalling is horrid, but even St Peirre had at least one good deep pass. As I say this Clausen just dumped it off to Goodson for a 4 yard loss.

Jimmy, join the Sexy Rexy club just once and say fug it I'm going deep.

I think Jimmy is playing dreadfully honestly. How do you drop off passes to a RB 3 yards behind the line? I would rather you throw it out of bounds. I just don't understand.

I'm not a Jimmy fan right now but I wouldn't say its dreadful. I agree that pass was horrible, but he has made some decent throws. Most of them are checkdowns, but hey you take what the defense gives you.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
