Yeah, the Rams only have talent at RB. It's not like Chris Long and James Laurenitus are not playing lights out. Or that their recent high draft picks used on the online have not worked out ( Roger Saffold and Jason Smith) I am still trying to figure out how we draft offense in the first and STILL address the defense. We are gonna wait till the 3rd and get a defensive player that can make an impact? Oh, the mighty FREE AGENCY gods are gonna smile on us huh? A first tier CB, DE, or DT is gonna want to come play in Carolina huh? If we want big time help we are gonna have to draft them.

Look at what Bradford is doing in St. Louis with NO talent besides RB. We add Harbaugh and Luck, address Defense and #2 WR in the draft/ Free agency and this team is right back in the playoff hunt.

ah, right...so u think that luck would perform better behind that crappy o-line?

the rams have a very good pass protection, their defense looks good and they run a lot of short passing games.

We have players on our team that formed one of the best O-lines in football last year. Wtih Otah back an a FA RG we have a really solid O-line.

BTW one of the main reasons Rams O-line look so god is because of the 3 step drop Bradford has on many of their plays. The same can be said of Pats, Colts, Falcons, and Saints. So a good QB with a good OC can get you a long long way.

I have a fantsy type but not unrealistic scenario. It sound like this:

Get Luck and Harbaugh.

Then do everything in your power to help in the trenches.

Sign a RG - Lutui, Yanda or even Mathis ( yes I said it )

Trade for the headcase in Redskins. He is a a-hole but put him in the right place and he can be a beast. Be a little lucky and they will take Clausen in a rare playey for player trade.

n

Sign another FA DT - Mebane, Seymour or Coefield.

Bang we are playoff centenders again and have not used a whole lot of money.

We have a talented group of WR´s and RB´s but need a lot of help on both of our lines.

Then go after a CB in the draft or a S and move Godfrey back into his natural position. For the rest of the draft go BPA.

I just throwned some names out but you get the idea. Get help to the RG and DT through trades or FA.

Haynesworth? That move alone wouldn't allow us to sign any other FA on note, not to mention DWill, Kalil and Davis. And people said Pep takes plays off...pass.

As I said... Put him in the right place an he will be a beast.

As for the contract, the rest of his contract his not as bad as the first looked. And we have a ton of caproom ( If there is a new CBA ). BTW we are what 40 mill under the under the current cap. If a new CBA is signed and it have a cap as we know it now do you really think Haynesworth is gonna cost 40 mil :) Before this season his contract was really a 3 year 16 mil. We can thank that stupid fug Snyder for that.

We will let D-Will and Marshall go. Davis is not going to get paid as mu ch after 100 knee operations and the play of Anderson ( Who also is a FA I know. )

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
