Stomach Viruses

I haven't had one in a long time but the feeling is obviously not forgotten.

You know when you feel sort of queasy at first and it slowly (sometimes quickly) builds as time goes by. Your stomach starts to swell and gurgle & bubble. You get the feeling that you need to burp but worry chunks might follow. The sweating & intestinal pain begins and you run to the bathroom but it doesn't come right away and you sit there sweating and in agony, praying and pleading with God (even if you're not a Christian)that it will come out already. Then finally! That hint of relief you get when you have that first explosive poo but its automatically followed up by intense intestinal spasms and more pain. Then you have several more trips to the toilet with explosive diarrhea followed up by several hours of running to to bathroom every 5 minutes to poo except nothing but bubbles comes out because you've pooped out every ounce of liquid in your body. And if you're really lucky you've got it coming out both ends. You have the dry heaves and the butt heaves. Your insides feel like they've been through a meat grinder.

I think I will go die now.

I had this very thing from Wednesday morning of last week until Sunday. Puking from Wed-Thurs, explosive diarrhea for the whole five day stretch. Didn't eat from Wednesday until Saturday morning. I ruined two pairs of boxers on Wednesday. FML.

Be careful folks, this very thing is going around and it is mean.

If you're looking to lose weight though it works like a charm! :D

I'm not a puker...and when I do...I swear I'm on the verge of death.

On work in Uniondale, NY (Long Island) probably 3 years ago, I and a bunch of others went out to PF Chang's to get dinner after work. We drank some...I got a really really hot dish. Got back to hotel later and I go to bed. Wake up around 3am...something's not right. I rush to the bathroom and it's coming out both ends, BUT the stuff is BLISTERING hot because of the stomach acid AND the spicy food I'd eaten. I laid on the hotel room floor (nice hotel thank goodness) to stay cool, but I thought I would die right there. This went on for 3 hours. Finally just got in tub and packed bags because I was flying out next day after working in Manhattan for a bit. When the rest of the group saw me the next morning, they thought I looked like death. We had to ride the train into Manhattan. I probably lifted my head once the whole ride in. Holding back the puke sensation. Get to the office...do my thing quickly and catch a courier ride to the airport to catch an early flight. Slept the entire time...stewardess had to wake me to leave plane. Get home...lie down and sleep for about 10 hours.

TO this day I don't know if it was the extreme heat...bug...or food poisoning that did it, but I'm wary of eating insanely hot food ever since.

    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
    • Bingo. The dude is a baller no doubt and I'd love to have him in a vacuum but like you said he's gonna fetch a haul so the only teams it really makes sense for are teams with an overall good roster who they feel an edge rusher like Crosby would out them over the top in terms of competing for SBs. I'd be looking st teams like the Pats, Bucs, Ravens, Seahawks, etc. It wouldn't be shocking to see him moved. He may be more valuable to a rebuilding team in the form of the draft assets he'd fetch than he is on the field. He should still have several more good years in the tank at 28 but by the time the Raiders can reasonably expect to rebuild he's gonna be on the decline.
