and have Jeff Davidson as coach? lol. Those 2 teams have players that can get it done where over here we have a rash of injuries, a rookie god awful qb, and a defensive line that is getting gashed every chance it can get. completely different scenarios.

Dont forget the Offensive line which is by far our worst in 5 seasons.

At this point, from what I gather about Fox and JR's relationship, or lack thereof, JR is doing it as a punishment to Fox. Fox doesn't want to be a quitter, but at the same time, I think he's sticking around to try and f*ck JR over as well (not playing Armanti, benching Gamble, etc.)

I think JR believed once it was clear we were gonna suck that Fox was intentionally getting back at him for leaving him a lame duck. So, JR decided he was gonna go down with the ship he was sinking with his own actions. Ever since, Fox has done stuff to get back at JR.

This is all speculation, but I can think there are signs that it is very real.

I think Foxy feels set up by JR, and JR feels Foxy mailed it in, so they've just spent the season trying to leave the other in the worse position possible once the contract is up.

I guess we'll see who wins next year lol.

Sorry Meat, but that's a horrible comparison.

The front offices of both the Vikings and Cowboys gave their coaches plenty of talent to work with this year, and neither Childress nor Phillips was able to use that talent effectively. Compare this to Fox's situation, wherein Richardson purged a lot of the veteran talent and didn't go after anyone significant in free agency.

Furthermore, the Vikings and Cowboys obviously were tired of playing for their respective coaches. I sincerely believe that this team has not given up on Fox.

I don't want Fox here next year, but that doesn't mean I think that any of our assistants would do a better job.

Yea I agree with those above...bad comparison. Both of those teams made the playoffs last year and have veteran teams...Panthers are the youngest team in the NFL and barely made it to .500 last year. A change at the top just says to the rest of the team "you're next".

Anybody read MMQB yet?

Interim Coach "I Told You So'' Note of the Week. Jason Garrett is 3-1, a Roy Williams fumble from 4-0. Frazier is 2-0. We might be about to hit uncharted territory for interim coaches. Is it possible that 49ers owner John York, or maybe Carolina owner Jerry Richardson, would request permission after the season to interview one or both coaches? And unless they've been signed to head-coaching contracts after the Cowboys' and Vikings' seasons, would they consider interviewing for the gigs? Why not? Both coaches have been superb in taking the focus away from the off-field mayhem and putting it on the field.

    • That’s not a bad idea at all. I was really liking the whole cali-style carne asada. We might do that next week instead of enchiladas for the rams. Was planning on: Saints-Gumbo Tampa-Cuban Sandwiches Seattle- Salmon Stew Tampa- Seafood Boil
    • I agree, honestly you can not trade a player that has Balls talent. Just sitting in street clothes FOR years, it doesn't matter if you are averaging 50points on 88% with 18 rebs, 15 asst, 4 stls if you never can play. These are the worst type of players, teasers. Its HIS JOB to get his body in NBA shape and he has proven that he can not. Thus you break the rule about trading top shelf talent. Hell NBA need to have NFL contracts where the full sum isn't guaranteed, you bet your ass if his money was tied to his playing on the court he'd somehow figure out how to stay healthy.   Plus Im a old head, I member when Seth Curry in his 17(Jesus..) year career had ankle problems and guess what, he solved the issues and got all the money, championships, and fame. Ball doesn't have the same drive to figure out his body, he'd rather drive his car on kids feet while rushing home to drive his go-cart on the roof of his condo after missing his 42nd game of the season.....
