A nice thought too if you ask me. I'm torn between him and Green if we either

A. Don't have the first pick

B. Luck doesn't go into the draft.

Actually not sure whom I'd pick between the two tbh.

agreed, though i would probably pick peterson and wait for alshon jeffery to come out the following year (or draft luck if he waits).

it's pretty likely that we'll suck again if we don't improve at QB next year. we could very well see another early pick.

Just bumping this back up I noticed this a while ago. I think PP is the no brainer at #1 especially if there is a rookie cap.

I wouldn't be totally upset with the pick, but the only no-brainer was Luck. You could also make a case for AJ Green being a no-brainer for us too.

Our team went 2-14, with the worst offense I've seen fielded in a looong time in the NFL, and Steve Smith looks like he wants to leave. We have to go offense, somehow, and as much as I hate UGA, I think it looks like we should get A.J. Green.

Maybe keep Moore, try out him and Clausen again, and see if Smitty wants to be traded. I just can't see, with our glaring holes and inability on offense to score, the need to take a cornerback.

I think it's gonna come down to Peterson or Green, with Dareus as a dark horse. I think Dareus is underrated and will have a better career than Fairely. He'd be my choice at #1 unless we can maneuver a trade back to mid first round and take Julio or Prince

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
