It's time Panthers snap ball to Armanti

(By Tom Sorensen, [email protected]) The Atlanta Falcons overcame Armanti Edwards and his game-high passer rating Sunday and beat the Carolina Panthers 31-10.p/The Falcons led 14-0 before most fans found their seats at Bank of America Stadium. It wasn't as if many fans looked. If I had to guess, the stadium was never more than 45 percent full. But it could have been 43 percent .

How bout we go back and undraft AE.

We could really use that 2nd rounder(#33) on a player who would be useful to the team.

No sh*t... a high 2nd round pick for a guy that might never be anything more than a #4 WR and maybe a punt returner. A total waste.

It just pisses me off that he is not even on the field, at all - except for that one simple pass play. I mean goodness, let him play some WR. But Fox doesnt give a crap about giving him some experience.

The reason why he hasn't shown up on-field is the biggest shock of all.

He was drafted for his athleticism, and then it turned out that he couldn't handle the physical demands of having to run all the time as a receiver/returner.

Ironic, eh? :sosp:

He may work himself into NFL shape next season. That's what they have to hope for, I suppose.

    • I don't agree with this, he looks jacked to me.  His frame won't allow him to ever be as big as XL, and that's fine.  He will just have a hard time with press, there are ways to deal with that.
    • that type of QB, especially paired with a weaker NFL arm.....excel with quick game weapons though.   it sounds like you are a big Tmac homer.  I mean, if you are watching every snap he played in college.   So, it's safe to say we likely won't see eye to eye on expectations for year 1.   And my expectations on Tmac aren't all in his control.  As I have also said, elsewhere, this is really year 2 for Bryce.  So I expect the first half of the season to carry healthy odds of a year 2 regression (specifically the first half).  Film, tendencies, and weaknesses in Dave's offense are going to be prepared for.    out of curiosity, what cons to Tmac's game where in the scouting stuff you saw?
    • Maybe a weeeee bit exaggerating. I think he will be a great player. But that doesn’t look like someone that was super committed in the weight room during college which is just a little confusing. Maybe he cut some weight to try and run a better 40. We saw Julio come into the league a little skinnier, get bigger/stronger and really start dominating. Strength and size is important as a big physical x receiver. It’s not so important for the Devonta Smith role
