22-21, other teams kicker made a 45 yarder in the rain to beat us. had the ball on the 19 yard line with 30 sec left but coach decided to go for it on 4th and 2. feelsbadman.

oh well, i had a good season.. rushed for 2,127 yards. 10.6 ypc. broke school rushing record.

sorry, this has nothing to do with the panthers, but why does it really matter? we're 1-12. lol

here are the gm highlights, i'm #28

yeah i would like too but only the smaller schools are looking at me. I would like to try to walk on to app state or maybe east carolina but i dont know if thats realistic.

Theres nothing wrong with D3 football. Is it D1? No, but the competition is still high and the athletes are still great. I play at Bridgewater College. Small school in VA, but we have a good program and compete in the ODAC (Old Dominion Athletic Conference). If you love the game, consider it.

D3 ball is still very competitive and usually it's players that are better football players but maybe not better athletes. You get a lot of guys that really understand the game but aren't as physically gifted. They get overlooked because they don't have the measurables the big schools wanted, even though that isn't what makes a football player a player.

Keep your head up kid, you had one hell of a season. As others have said, if you love the game, play it. If you really want to walk-on, work your ass off in the off-season and just flat out get bigger, faster, and stronger. Maybe even a personal trainer for speed and agility.

I'd be willing to bet they could find a position for you. Once on the roster, just work harder than the rest and work your up the depth chart. Easy to get ladies as well ;)

sucks to lose that close! Lost zone championship playing high school basketball by a single point too...to a team that beat us by 50 in the regular season. Would have sent us to provincials...like a state, but Canadian!

If coach woulda put you in fourth quarter, you would've been provincial champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind.

    • Yards a game works better over a longer period of time as well. Averages always work out over the long run. The smaller the sample size the easier it is to skew. Also opponents matter more when the size is small. Player 1 lights up 2 bad defenses in 4 starts vs Player 2 playing 10 games vs multiple defenses. It hard to make it apples to apples how it currently sits. Remember during Bryce’s little run last year how annoyed you were when people were pulling Bryce’s starts from week 9 on vs the whole season.
    • Someone else claimed I said EVERY.  Literally in my post breaking it down it gave Bryce TDs per game.   Shough however has the majority in his favor if just looking at starts. whats subjective about comp %, yards, QB ratings and turnovers?  Now I guess the argument one might make off them could be subjective.  But all I’m saying is statistically as a starter he has been better this year overall.  I don’t think Shough is great.  I think he is impressive based on the situation.  2nd rounder stepping in on a bad team.   And he like so many other QBs…..serves as little red flag going off about what we are doing here offensively.
    • Player A - 2 starts.  200 yards in each start. He averages 200 yards a game.  Player B - 1 start.  Throws for 400 yards.  Comes in another random game and has 1 pass attempt on a Hail Mary to end the game that goes incomplete.   Now given the random game he appeared for a snap, he averages 200 yards a game. Thats why you isolate starts. If you are talking starter vs someone who began as a backup.  Simple made up numbers/situations to illustrate the point.
