Panthers should win Sunday

Mr. Scot can take it from here, but Cincinnati has no shot at its next 2 games. If they lose to Cleveland and the Panthers win tomorrow, I would say Luck is lost.

Carolina has a real advantage in SOS calculations where the last three games are concerned. We can win, and at the end of the year Cincy should easily have the harder SOS based on opponent winning percentage.

Do the math. :)

Fox indicated the Panthers would not fill the final spot on their 53-man roster -- vacant since three players were placed on injured reserve this week -- before Sunday's game.

"Did we (fill it)? No," Fox said. "Will we? It's day to day."

Fox said it's not a big deal. The Panthers would simply have one fewer player on the inactive list Sunday.

I have tried to do the math and I get mixed returns. It is possible, I suppose. I look to 3 games that will seal the deal for the Panthers:

1. Cleveland at Cincinnati

2. Carolina at Arizona

3. New Orleans at Atlanta

If we win tomorrow and Cincinnati loses, it will be very close. However, if Atlanta beats New Orleans, it is likely they rest the troops vs. Carolina. That could give us 3 wins and then Denver and possibly Detroit and Buffalo could sneak in, leaving us at worst, #5.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
