Clausen gets one more chance to prove himself...

Clausen isn't getting traded. At least no time soon.
if we draft luck (or newton) he should be traded right away. hopefully packaged with a later round pick to see if we can move up into the 2nd round...which probably wouldn't happen and if he isn't worth a 2nd rounder then why would we ever consider keeping him as a starter?

I want fox to go ALL OUT insane style. Use Jimmy, use Armanti, use BSP, use Null, use the Wildcat like we did that one time in Atlanta, use trick plays, gadget plays, go for bomb after bomb. He may as well, it's his final game.

But no...he'll keep it respectful and try and make it hard for the Falcons to get home field by upsetting the Birds in Atlanta. Borrring.

Hell yeah let's use the A-11 offense or something. Is that offense even allowed in the NFL? I don't know but let's get crazy

You must be forgetting that Jeff Davidson is still our OC for one more week..

He's not getting traded - his value is in the toilet (probably literally) at this point.

But he's also not going to prove anything to anyone who knows anything about anything in one meaningless game at the end of a dismal season. He'll get his chance to prove himself later in his career (hopefully with another team because we found a franchise QB - no matter who it is) but Sunday ain't it.

why is it that everyone here wants us to use the wildcat?

1) we can't pull it off. i don't think we've had any positive yardage off of it the past could years we've tried it.

2) no one is using it successfully anymore. dolphins are even giving it up.

just a crap gimmick whose time has come and gone. it's a shame that we never got to really see it work all that well aside from that one game a long time ago, but we really should let the dream die.

Probably just because we all have some subconscious desire to see the 33rd pick in the 2011 draft play, just for the hell of it, and that seems like the most likely way it's gonna happen.

it actually worked well when Deangelo Williams was the one taking the snaps and it was newer in the league. Stewart/Goodson are no D-Will.

You referenced the 06 Falcons game but in 2008 I think it did alright. We went to it on the final drive of the Giants game in 08 I remember Madden commented on how impressed he was that were committed to it that much to use it in a 2 minute drill.
