Come January you will be able to get my BBQ 7 days a week. Downside is it will be in Kings Mtn.Place will be called Center St. Tavern and Smokehouse in downtown Kings Mtn

I saw your picture in the paper the other week , real glad to see ya'll coming to big KM. Wish ya the best and I plan on trying it out soon. :thumbsup:

Dude, i have yet to eat any BBQ in this state that even compares...and yes ive eaten at Lexington, the supposed Holy Grail.

The place in Shelby is probably best ive had in NC. And its average.

Hint: quit beating your meat to a pulp and pull it.

Somebody a few posts back wanted to know about BBQ in Smithfield, NC... not the restaurant.

My favorite is White Swan. It's about the closest you will find to pulled pork off a smoker in terms of taste.

Holt's Lake is a close second, though I haven't had them in a long time.

Stay away from McCall's in Clayton. That place is crap. It is just the local food trough for people on lunch break. I got BBQ from there once, it came out still VERY pink and cold. I got up and left.

The best BBQ however can only be found after injesting at least a 6-pack during the summer after swimming and finding the local hick who has a whole pig on the cooker.
