Gettis is 4th in yards receiving among rookies, lafell is 4th in receptions.

Good numbers, for rookies. Amazing that they've been able to do that with the worst QB in the history of the NFL throwing to them.

Oh and they don't need a #1, they need a TE to take away the safety coverage.

I think the numbers are a little misleading. When they've had to start multiple games since week 1, lack of quality depth a the position, and no real threats at TE to catch the ball.... someone has to get the yards. I believe most rookies could have came in and put up similar numbers in this situation.

Just my opinion from watching.... so far I think they have potential to be average WR's in the NFL. Not anything top notch, or a super stud, and not garbage either.

From watching how he plays Dez Bryant is someone I see having potential to be a top 5 Wr in the league.... He's kind've on the same page as Megatron. And he shined even though he played along side Williams, Witten, and Austin.

Calvin Johnson is in a league of two (sharing it with Andre Johnson). Bryant is going to be just a step below that, assuming the effects of his injury aren't lingering.

Gettis and LaFell are going to be good receivers in this league. They're not going to be elite - but if the system is good enough they don't have to be.

I think Gettis can be just as good as Dez, he is very fast and has good hands. In other words he has the same exact intangibles. Lafell, despite the perceived hands issue, is our young Moose. Gettis can and does get separation and makes really good catches.

Don't forget we have this GUY sitting on the practice squad that will make the team next year and will be a great addition to the WR set...if he can only stay healthy :D

our offense has been notably horrible, so i almost can't blame them. i had no idea either WR would be so high in that list until i randomly started digging around the rookie stat sheets on NFL.com - i was shocked to see them in the top five.

they've definitely sneaked up to the top of that list... and we've still got one more game to go.

Hopefully both have a good game against the Falcons.

I think a good OC will take care of a lot. Might even make our TE's better (bet we keep 2)

That, and a little Luck. :)
