But Luck is being billed as the kind of talent you don't see all that often, and the kind of player that passing on is a major mistake... so no, Yates isn't going to swing me, sorry.

No group of players are worth "the best QB in the NFL" which Luck could be in a few years. If we trade out of getting Luck we are the dumbest franchise in the NFL and JR doesn't deserve to own a team. Its not going to happen though...

What would have happen to the Colts if Manning turned out to be a bust? You take risk every year in the NFL. It's the only way you can move foward. How would you feel if we let some team trade up to get Luck and he turns out to be the next Tom brady or Manning and we are still trying to find our QB? I rather take the risk and hoepfully it pans out in our favor. Then letting him go to another team.
