Lighten up, would ya? After all, nobody else here has come out and simply stated who they're choice would be. Sure, there's a ton of threads and thousands of posts about "why this guy" or "why not that guy" but one person comes out and says one name, Gruden, without rhyme, reason or any other comment and everyone wants to crucify the man.

Gruden ain't high on my list. I also SERIOUSLY doubt Carolina goes for a former HC.

but Gruden would be better than a Grimm.

I think Gruden would be more likely to win another superbowl out of all the retreads.

In the six seasons after the Super Bowl, his teams only made it to the playoffs twice (and they were one and done both times).

If he couldn't even produce another playoff win, what's to believe he could bring home another Super Bowl?

Add in that he had a revolving door at QB (by his choice) and by the time it was done his players hated him (reportedly told ownership "we won't play for him").

I know everyone loves Gruden in the booth, but Matt Millen sounded like he knew everything when he was a commentator too. It's different when you actually have to back it up.
