ALL of these guys are defensive coordinators. Why? Is this just a coincidence that there aren't any offensive guys at all or is this an edict Richardson gave Hurney to just go after another defensive coordinator? Why would he do that when our offense is coming off their worst performance in our 16-year history and dead-last in the league? Why not even *interview* an offensive guy?

Maybe they just don't like any of the OCs out there.

Also, a DC going to HC doesn't mean our offense will be archaic... A lot of that has to do with the attitude of the coach. Don't mistake defensive with conservative, not always the same.

the only thing that really matters is if he has a good coaching staff with him and delegates those duties. Im fine with a dc coach as long as he doesnt do what fox did in his tenure with the offense.

Exactly. From what the "sources" said yesterday when they leaked that we'd take Luck the F.O. is well aware that Fox's style of offense doesn't work and plans to change it.

Plus... name an offensive coach that is considered a top HC candidate other than Harbaugh & Mularkey, who has already failed once as a HC.

As long as the new OC is allowed to do his job and call the Offense he wants, I will be fine with whoever the HC is.

PLEASE bring Rob Ryan in our coach! If he is half the coach his brother is we would be set. When players were polled on what coach in the NFL they would want to play for Rex Ryan was #1 by a large margin, followed by Bellicheat. No reason why Rob wont coach like his brother, they are nearly identical...

And i wouldnt even mind if he brought in Mangini as OC..Plus all of you complaining about bend but dont break D, the Ryan's are notoriously aggresive.
