Greg Hardy

With all the talk about the draft. Quite a few people have talked about drafting Bowers. However Greg Hardy is a very talented athlete who, from what I recall was a potential 1st round grade before injury. From what you guys have seen this season is Greg Hardy the real deal? Or are we looking at another McClover situation?

One thing is for certain is that he is one athletic dude. He runs down punt returners. Also I'm pretty positive that we will bring Charles Johnson back.

Is Hardy going to be starting material next season?

If we're sticking with Tampa-2, then really we need two DTs who are good at rushing the QB.

Hardy hasn't yet reached his full potential as far as his strength and stamina is concerned imo. If he can get to where CJ is stength wise, then we'll have a potential pro-bowler, because he already has the speed. Hardy will be lifting and adding as much bulk as possible this off-season, and that will give him a better bull rush. CJ was able to produce a lot of sacks and pressure due to his bull rush, but he doesn't have the speed of Hardy, so he doesn't have quite the same potential.

Hardy is the real deal and will get plenty of play in a rotation with Brayton, Brown and Johnson. He has several moves and in many ways is farther along than Brown although he has been in the league only one year. With a few disruptive DTs and a defensive line scheme using more stunts, and misdirection and we could have an effective defensive scheme. The key is a dominant DT, not several more DEs.
