The impression I got from Rivera's presser...

Recommended Posts

Anybody still sad we didn't get Harbaugh?

I'm doing my best to wait and see how each of them do next year before I either make fun of 49ers fans for getting a raw deal or bemoan my existence and wallow in fail.

Though my initial reaction is not really...I think we did just fine based PURELY on what he said. It remains to be seen whether he backs up what he said.

I've gotten used to supporting a HC simply because they were the HC, not because I necessarily supported their ideologies or anything else, a la Fox's stubborn ass over the past few years. After watching Rivera do his sh*t during this presser, I can honestly say I support this guy not because I feel I'm obliged to because he's the HC, but because I want to. I like the guy's approach to the game, and he said all the right things today as far as I'm concerned. It's a complete breath of fresh air, and it smells so f*cking good. I've found my new mancrush.

After the letdowns already this offseason, I can say I just got a boost of excitement after watching that presser. I like this guy's attitude. Like others I hope it translates to the team we field.

Agreed.

The season sucked but on the bright side this is going to be an above average and interesting offseason.

    • Don't have to be miss cleo. His weakness are length, athleticism, creating his own shot, defense, finishing at the rim,  Strengths - shooting and IQ.   Likely won't work as non athletic shooters don't typically work.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
