Bold Predictions for this Coming Offseason

The Panthers will not sign any free agent wide receivers or secondary

The Panthers will not draft a quarterback in any round

There will be zero interest in trading up to the Panthers first overall pick

The Panthers will once again look to acquire more picks in the draft by trading next years first or second round pick, further perpetuating the cycle of trading away picks to acquire more picks to compensate for the fact that you traded away picks to acquire more picks and so on and so on forever and ever

So you would rather trade a proven player for one benched for The Golden Calf of Bristol?

yes.

you can make that out to mean something.. to me it doesn't. look at everything in Denver and tell me anything over there makes sense.. if you can tell me that with a straight face, well, I don't want to call you a fool but you leave me no choice..

Rex Grossman, John Beck, Donovan McNabb.

Which one do you like there?

None of the above. Donovan McNabb is not the quarterback he once was throwing more interceptions than touchdowns last year. The fact that Shanahan would turn the offense over to Rex Grossman, who would put up a better rating and touchdown to interception ratio might I add, says it all. McNabb's ability has severely declined and I want nothing to do with him.

I agree that the Broncos organization is doing some strange things, but that doesn't make Kyle Orton a Quarterback who can lead our team for the years to come, and why would you trade Deangelo Williams for a quarterback who isn't that. There is a reason Denver benched him for The Golden Calf of Bristol they wanted to see if they had their quarterback of the future on their roster for the next coach. Kyle Orton was much more a product of Josh McDaniel's system than his own talents. Even Musin Muhammed who played with the guy said on the radio the other day he could never see him as a quarterback that could take his team to the superbowl. To be completely honest i'd rather get a second/third rounder for Williams than Orton and a late round pick. I don't want to become that team that isn't good enough to make the playoffs but isn't bad enough to draft low enough to get their quarterback of the future, and that is where a guy like Orton would put us.

-Panthers go 9-7 and miss the playoffs

-trade down and select Cam Newton in the first round

-DeAngelo Williams signs a long term deal and leads the NFL in rushing

-Charles Johnsons gets 12 sacks

-David Gettis scores at least 10 TDs

-our QB (whoever it is) will throw for at least 3000 yards, 15TDs and 10ints(or less)

Here are the facts: DWill doesn't have to sign with us. Orton isn't coming here to be our franchise QB.. Orton may not cost a 2nd pick..

mix and match those as you will.. Orton is the most solid prospect out there.. You may not like Orton, but his stats prove he is as solid as we're going to find for the time being..

one more fact, you may have to settle your expectations and realize we aren't going to be good enough to make the playoffs without a QB.. so man up and see Orton is the best possible opportunity to stay competitive with or without Williams..

then again, McNabb would be a good option as well..

if people don't like those 2 options.. I'm curious how you all expect to stay competitve?
