Why aren't we considering Da'Quan Bowers?

So why not take Mark Ingram #1 overall? He's the #1 running back

Because he isn't BPA.

I should rephrase, no one should be considering the team's needs as a main basis for the #1 overall.

It should be considered but BPA comes before anything which, at least from my stance won't be determined until the combine performances, interviews and scouting is done. I also don't think it will be Fairly, but that is my opinion and it is too soon to really say.

If we got a good FA DT and traded down and took one in the first round, now we have a front 4 Rivera can work with. This team gets better immediately.

I still say we pay the big man from the Ravens the money. Oh you want to be the highest paid DT in the league? Ok get the paperwork....

Brayton-Solid starter

Johnson-Has developed in to a pretty good DE.

Hardy- Showed flashes and will become alot better

Brown- Gave up a first round to get him, jury's still out on him. If they went for a DE, the brown trade is basicall a waste of two picks. They are going to give him another shot.

Norwood will get better with more experience.

I like the first three DE... I'd like to see Hardy get more playing time this year to see what he can really do.

I'm hoping Brown will have is breakout year this year... it is season number three.

Plus anybody who's a panthers fan, should automatically know that there is a glaring need at DT! Thats the first postion that needs to be address on our defense. Second is CB depending on if Marshall's gone, along with Gamble. Maybe we'll be able to retain one of them, and pick up a FA like Bailey or Asomugha.

They need to bring in a proven DT vet. No matter what his age. Then Draft a DT with a first round pick... I liked what I saw from Landri, hopefully they'll keep him around for next year. Maybe even Neblett. Then bring in a young FA to compete with those guys... Never know could land a diamond in the ruff. If those two postions are address I really like our defense.

Why anyone considers what this team needs when regarding the #1 overall pick is beyond me.

I guess it all boils down to which player you think is worthy to go #1. A lot of minds think Fairley is (including me). When your greatest need is DT, and you have the number one pick, it's a match made it heaven.
