I think it's a really lousy year to need a quarterback, given what the draft and free agent pools look like :(

My choices for camp this year would be Clausen, Pike, Matt Moore and Billy Volek. Keep the best three going into the season unless someone better gets cut from another squad.

You never know. A new offensive staff might be able to make something half-decent out of guys we already have (for a year, anyway).

I have a hard time getting on board with bringing Moore back into the fold. It's not like he knows the system we'll be running. He has a very questionable throwing shoulder now, post injury. Granted he looked good compared to our other options, but look at what we have on the team to compare him too. All other things aside, the shoulder make it a risky signing IMO.

There's not really a huge risk involved being the fourth guy in training camp.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Panthers get Gradkowski. He is better than Volek in my opinion.

McNabb is washed up and wouldn't fit here anyway being a WCO guy.

I like him....very un-sexy but solid. He isn't an option as a long term starter, but a smart, wont get us beat backup is gonna be a need when we do find our young franchise QB.

um.....no. Volek is however decent. Isnt he one of the few guys who passed for over 400 yards in back to back games? I will take him any day over captain unibrow

"His longest streak of starts came in 2004 for the injured Steve McNair in which Volek started eight games for the Titans. Over this eight game stretch he completed 61.1% of his passes, threw for 2,486 yards, 18 TD, 10 INT and finished with a QB rating of 87.1. This was also the season where Volek joined an exclusive club of QBs who have thrown for over 400 yards in back-to-back games, passing for 426 and 492 yards against Kansas City and Oakland.

Lets face it we do not have alot of options at qb coupled with the fact Hurney is not going to declare his pick Clausen a bust yet.I feel they will keep Clausen,Pike and maybe Moore and then add a veteran like Volek to the mix.Pike may go to the PS or get cut.
