kinda concerned. they gave up a ton of sacks this year, and actually finished below us in rushing offense. not all this guys fault and I'm sure he's had some decent lines...

I wonder what the story is - with guys like Oher, Grubbs, Chester, and Yanda (as well as Gaither on IR) - the Ravens have a crapload of line talent, and they're all fairly young.

magazu didn't do too well this season until very late even with the same guys he did well with last season. But he didn't have a QB worth a damn. Ravens did.

Still I'm going to be plenty optimistic.

Until this year they had great OLines there. I wonder if injuries and finally a lack of talent esp at the Guard positions finally did them in?

At least part of it, I think, is that they keep trying to make Oher a left tackle. I loved the movie too, but as a pro in the real world, he's better on the right.

Another aspect: I don't really think Gaither is as good as they think he is.

Regardless, body of work overall is good. I can forgive a bad year.

Yeah I agree with the assessment on Oher, I saw him get beat a lot, then was holding his defender when he would start to get beat. But on the other side they did pick up Matt Birk in the off season. Definitely an under achieving group.

The Chargers O-line coach was actually a college teammate of Chudzinski, but based on what we've read he's not an option (Chargers won't give permission).
