If we draft AJ Green and keep Steve Smith, what will be the starting lineup at WR?

1. Someone said that Nick Fairley is a better overall prospect according to some people. Who has said that? Anyone? I'm not talking about having Fairley at #1, I'm talking about just the talent level of the available picks. AJ Green is #1 on most boards I've seen with Bowers #1 on a few others. Haven't seen Fairley as the #1 overall most talented player in this draft on any board.

2. It's laughable to compare Green to LaFell/Gettis and suggest that we have no need at receiver because of them. This is like saying we wouldn't need to have drafted Luck because we just drafted Clausen last year. Too freaking bad, Green is MUCH MUCH MUCH more talented than LaFell and Gettis are.

Fairley is on top of Kiper's Big Board.

He probably is, but WR is one of the positions we are pretty set on I think, so drafting at a strong position is fine and all but we are very weak at other positions that need to be addressed.

I still think DT should be easy enough to address in FA. There's gonna be like 3 or 4 very high quality DTs out there (off the top of my head Ngata, Mebane, Cofield...and yea, I know the Ravens probably aren't gonna let Ngata go). Surely they can go out and get 1 or 2 of the top 5 FA DTs and 1 or 2 backups, plus the mid and later rounds in the draft (DT is deep this year).

    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix has only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
    • The Canes physically dominated 2 of the top 16 teams in the league this calendar month. If you truly believe Florida is just that much more physical than us, then what does that say about the rest of the league? Why didn't they go 82-0 this year, if they are orders of magnitude better than every other team?
