Dolphins targeting DWill

He wants to be here, the Panthers want him, unlike someone else that left last season.

I don't think it is that cut and dry.

this is DeAngleo's last shot at serious cash/contract. DeAngleo probably will be a businessman about all this. These are professional athletes.....they look after themselves. Williams will go where the money is and where he is most happy.

We shall see.....panthers have to resign:

1) Kalil

2) C. Johnson

3) D-Will*

4) Anderson

5) Extend Beason this might be number 4

6) Sign Thomas Davis

If all this happens we could use the franchise tag on Marshall and trade him for whatever we could get

* if we can't sign D-Will he warrants franchise tag over anyone besides Kalil

fml I forgot about C. Johnson he is moved up to number 2

Im not that worried about resigning him. IM more effed that we didnt trade him when people were interested last year. totally different situation than Peppers. Peppers had a 15 mil dollar number on his contract that no team would have thought of trading for. Dwill did not.

and still have money too

1) Find a QB

2) find a TE

3) Sign Johnson or another DE

4) DT

One of two things is going to happen. Either D-Will wants to stay here, and is willing to sign a reasonable contract to finish his career in Carolina, or he wants a big payday, and will go to the highest bidder.

If it's the second scenario, well, let's just say "28 year-old RB with injury issues" shouldn't be at the top of our list of free agents to sign.

I hope this isn't true!!!!! God I live in miami haven't heard it at all. But one things for sure Ricky isn't happy here , He has gone to a radio show and openly talked about the team and how they want Brown getting all the carriers. I hope he go's else where not to the phins,What we need to do is tag em or long term him , if he wants his rb coach ship him to Denver for 1, 2 and Kyle Orton. Am sure John Fox will love to have his old rb.

Heres what Ricky had to say to the radio station about the Miami Dolphins

shoulda traded him while we had the chance. If we dont resign him it will be a total absolute marty hurney failure.

Exxxactly.

Why people don't want to resign him doesn't make sense. If we were going to trade him we should have done so before hand, he would have had more value for many reasons. He wasn't injured, was younger and cheaper and now he won't have a tag on him if he gets traded which will undoubtedly lower what we would get in return. I do think they will tag him but I don't think he will be traded.

He needs to be resigned the same day the CBA goes into place!

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
